Overnight Out Trip

This trip is a great example of how having fun, being challenged, learning, and growing all work together so well. The counsellors are well aware that for many this is a new experience. As such, they’re constantly working with the campers to build confidence with the idea of the trip.

Campers are bused back-and-forth on a school bus. Meals are planned together as a group. We ask that you please not send added snacks, nor meals, because that takes away from the opportunity they have here at Camp!

Asking yourself if it’s normal to be a little nervous?
So normal! Your camper might be nervous, you as a parent might be nervous, that’s so normal! New experiences are intimidating. We KNOW that! We’re here to help. We have no doubt your Camper can have a great experience and that there might be some nerves to overcome first – that’s a part of the adventure! We encourage you to chat with them about it and feel free to reach out to us if you want to talk!

What to bring

Lunch, snacks, water bottle, sunscreen, bathing suit, and towel should be brought every day. We ask that Campers do not bring any electronics to Camp. This includes for the out trip! If you’re wondering how you might be able to get a hold of your Camper click here.

Outdoor camping skills (tenting, cooking, canoeing, hiking, and tonnes of water play) are incorporated with a variety of other games and activities to ensure that each Camper gains a further understanding of just how much fun it can be to be active and outside!

Cost

(this includes a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of registration)

Offered

The program is offered all summer except session 1. The out trip portion of the program takes place Wednesday – Friday for all Campers in the program.

LEADERSHIP CAMP

Camp Centennial is excited to re-introduce our Leadership program! This is a 2 week fully immersive program that offers the opportunity for senior Campers to learn more about the attitudes, perspectives, and skills that we value so greatly at Camp!

The two weeks are spent delving into both the practical skills as well as the philosophies that Camp Centennial embodies. Each camper will be pushed to expand their skills, thoughts, and abilities. The entire program is quite intensive. It is guaranteed to be a perspective-changing experience that focuses largely on leadership skills, independence, confidence, and their place in learning about oneself and others: all using the great outdoors, and adventure programming, to do-so!

Offered

Session 7 and 8 (August 5th - 16th)

Sneak Peak

We are excited to say that we are once again offering our “Landing” program! Our out-trip site at Camp has affectionately become known as “The Land.” As such, we thought “Landing” was an appropriate name for this group who will delve deep into the experience of learning, experiencing, and growing by having a whole lot of fun outdoors in an incredible place guided and surrounded by wonderful people and a positive attitude! The program will focus on having a tonne of fun while exploring and learning the hard-skills of outdoorsmanship.

This group will spend the entirety of their 5 days out at “The Land”. We are excited to say that the accommodations for Landing this year will be in Yurt style canvas tents that are erected on decked platforms. The campers will have access to all of the facilities we have out there, including our Lodge-Style building (we call it by its civic address, 11 Owen’s Way), 350 acres of wooded area, 1.2km of river frontage, lakes, canoes, and all the fresh air you could ask for.

They will arrive Monday morning at Camp Centennial in Moncton and be bused out and won’t be returning until Friday afternoon for pickup at 4:15pm at Camp Centennial.

This program is run by staff who are have their first aid training, national canoe certification, as well as extensive Camp Centennial leadership training.

Meals, accommodations, and equipment are all provided by for the session. Each Camper will be asked to bring their own personal equipment and clothing.

Family Camp!

Camp for the whole family!

They've been asking, and asking, and asking... and we finally said yes! Parents can come to Camp! We will be offering Family Camp during the long-weekend at the end of September.

We are inviting families to join us at Centennial Landing for a 2 night experience together. Accommodations will be in our Yents (glamping style tents) and will be booked by family. The weekend will be a “choose your own adventure.” We will be providing the meals, the accommodations, and the opportunities for programs ranging from canoe excursions, swims in the lagoon, to games and evening campfires. There will also be plenty of opportunity for individuals, and families, to choose their own experiences.

$380 for family of 2 (plus tax)

Additional $150 (plus tax)/per person over 5 years old

*cost includes accommodations, 6 meals, and programming for the weekend.
**$75 discount provided to those willing to volunteer for our cleanup day (starts after family camp finishes on the 29th).

Accommodation and Meals

Families will be booked into our Yents. For families that need more than 1 Yent, we are happy to accommodate

Food will be provided by Camp. There will be a mix between "self serve" meals as well as meals where we will be eating together as a group (family style!).
