Overnight Out Trip

This trip is a great example of how having fun, being challenged, learning, and growing all work together so well. The Counsellors are well aware that for many this is a new experience. As such, they’re constantly working with the Campers to build confidence with the idea of the trip.

Campers are bused back-and-forth on a school bus. Meals are planned together as a group. We ask that you please not send added snacks, nor meals, because that takes away from the opportunity they have here at Camp!

Asking yourself if it’s normal to be a little nervous?
So normal! Your camper might be nervous, you as a parent might be nervous, that’s so normal! New experiences are intimidating. We KNOW that! We’re here to help. We have no doubt your Camper can have a great experience and that there might be some nerves to overcome first – that’s a part of the adventure! We encourage you to chat with them about it and feel free to reach out to us if you want to talk (or visit)!

What to bring

Lunch, snacks, water bottle, sunscreen, bathing suit, and towel should be brought every day. We ask that Campers do not bring any electronics to Camp. This includes for the out trip! If you’re wondering how you might be able to get a hold of your Camper click here.

LEADERSHIP CAMP

Camp Centennial is excited to re-introduce our Leadership program!

Leadership Camp will spend the first two days (leaving Wednesday morning) at Camp Centennial in Centennial Park. They will spend the following 9 nights (10 days) away at Centennial Landing. All food and lodgings will be provided by Camp for the duration of the away trip.

The two weeks are spent delving into both the practical skills as well as the philosophies that Camp Centennial embodies. Each camper will be pushed to expand their skills, thoughts, and abilities. The entire program is quite intensive. It is guaranteed to be a perspective-changing experience that focuses largely on leadership skills, independence, confidence, and their place in learning about oneself and others: all using the great outdoors, and adventure programming, to do-so!

Family Camp!

Camp for the whole family!

They've been asking, and asking, and asking... and we finally said yes! Parents can come to Camp! We will be offering Family Camp during the long-weekend at the end of September.

We are inviting families to join us at Centennial Landing for a 2 night experience together. Accommodations will be in our Yents (glamping style tents) and will be booked by family. The intention is pretty simple. We’re looking to have a weekend that focuses on being outdoors, active, and connecting with the things that mean the most!

The weekend will be a “choose your own adventure.” We will be providing the meals, the accommodations, and the opportunities for programs ranging from canoe excursions, swims in the lagoon, to games and evening campfires. There will also be plenty of opportunity for individuals, and families, to choose their own experiences.

Cost

$150 per person over 5 years old (plus tax)

*cost includes accommodations, 6 meals, and programming for the weekend.
**$100 discount provided to those willing to volunteer for our cleanup day (starts after family camp finishes on the 28th).

Offered

Friday September 26th (evening) to Sunday September 28th (early afternoon).

Location

Centennial Landing. Please note that the facility has washrooms, as well as indoor space for eating, but that there are limited access to showers.

Accommodation and Meals

Families will be booked into our Yents. For families that need more than 1 Yent, we are happy to accommodate

Food will be provided by Camp. There will be a mix between "self serve" meals as well as meals where we will be eating together as a group (family style!).

What to bring

Each family will be responsible for their own sleeping bags, pillows, active clothing, water bottle, toiletries, etc. All equipment for activities, food, and accommodations will be included.
