Life at Camp

The Run of a Day
Camp days are active, outdoors and built around the people sharing them. Campers spend their week with a consistent cabin group, supported by Counsellors who help them try, contribute, connect and have a ridiculous amount of fun along the way.
Staff, not stuff
Camp is based on staff, not stuff. Activities matter, but the people leading them matter more. Our Counsellors bring different backgrounds, interests and abilities, but they share a commitment to growth, curiosity and doing their work well.
They are there to notice Campers, include them, encourage them and help the group make the most of whatever the day brings.
Cellphone- and electronics-free
Campers do not bring cellphones or other electronics to Camp. We want the connections they make here to be with the people and world around them.
If a family needs to reach a Camper during the day or while they are away on an out-trip, the Camp Office is always available.
No two days are exactly the same. Activities change with the weather, the program, the group and the opportunities available that day. A week may include:
-
Swimming and pool activities
-
Forest and field games
-
Climbing wall challenges
-
Rocky Stone and Camp-wide games
-
Obstacle and team challenges
-
Crafts and creative activities
-
Songs, skits and Camp traditions
-
Out-trips for blended programs
Opening & Closing
Each morning begins with Opening, when the whole Camp gathers before groups head into their day. At 4:15 p.m., everyone comes back together for Closing.
Friday Campfire
Friday Campfire begins at 3:30 p.m. Families, friends and members of the community are welcome to join us as groups share songs, skits and the traditions that bring the week to a close.
Our staff
Our Counsellors are chosen deliberately and trained extensively. Staff complete more than 100 hours of training before the season, supported by recognized certifications that may include First Aid, CPR and AED, Paddle Canada canoeing, lifesaving and climbing safety.
Cabin groups generally operate with direct Counsellor-to-Camper ratios between 1:6 and 1:8, with the overall Camp ratio even stronger. Those numbers support the thing that matters most: meaningful connection.
