The Run of a Day

A little preparation makes the first morning easier. Use this page as the main reference for daily supplies, arrival and pickup, overnight packing and the things Campers should leave at home.

CC Programs

  • Day Camps

  • Blended (day camps with overnight components)

  • Sleep Away

Drop-off and pickup

Morning drop-off  |  8:00–8:20 a.m.

Families may use the roundabout for a quick drop-off, where a Counsellor will greet Campers and point them toward their cabin group. Families who want to walk in should park in the large lot off St. George Boulevard. Please do not park in the roundabout.

Afternoon pickup  |  4:15–4:30 p.m.

Closing ends at 4:15 p.m. Families should park in the large lot, walk in and sign their Camper out from the cabin group. If someone different will be picking up, make sure the Camp Office has the correct information.

What every day Camper should bring

  1. A generous lunch and plenty of snacks

  2. A refillable water bottle

  3. Bathing suit and towel

  4. Sunscreen and bug spray

  5. Weather-appropriate clothing that can get wet, muddy or dirty

  6. Closed-toe footwear suitable for active outdoor play

Cellphones and electronics

Please do not send cellphones, smartwatches, cameras, music players or other electronics. Camp is intentionally electronics-free. If a Camper and family need to reach one another, contact the Camp Office at (506) 853-3507.

Blended-program overnight packing

Bucc Out, Moxy and Voyageurs Campers should pack overnight items separately from their regular day-camp supplies. Bring:

  1. Pants, shorts, T-shirts, underwear and socks

  2. Rain gear and a warm sweater

  3. Bathing suit and towel

  4. Toiletries

  5. Flashlight

  6. Water bottle — at least 2 L for Voyageurs

  7. Sunscreen and bug spray

  8. A small, packable sleeping bag and pillow

  9. Sneakers or other closed-toe shoes

Bring a packed lunch for the first day of the out-trip. Please do not send additional meals or snacks; Camp provides food while the group is away, and keeping food contained is important at the rural site.

Preparation by program

Health and Safety

Camper health and safety guide our planning, staff training and daily routines.

✓ Every staff member has their Intermediate First Aid Certification

✓ Daily health checks and wellness monitoring

✓ Water safety and swimming supervision
   (certified lifeguards at Centennial Pool)

✓ Activity-specific safety training

✓ Emergency procedures and protocols

✓ Allergy and dietary accommodation

✓ Wellness Support

Day Camp

Munchkins, Koalas, Buccaneers and Specialty Campers return home each afternoon. Bring the daily supplies listed above. Specialty Campers should also bring the equipment identified for their program: a tennis racquet if available for Tennis Camp, or clothing that can handle art materials for Art Camp.

Blended Camp

Bucc Out and Moxy include one night at Centennial Landing. Voyageurs includes two nights and a more substantial outdoor trip. Transportation, meals while away, accommodations and program equipment are included. Families register for the exact blended option they want; regular Buccaneers does not automatically include Bucc Out.

Full sleep-away Camp

Centennial Landing is a separate five-day, four-night sleep-away program. Its packing list, arrival information, dates, fees and FAQs are maintained on the Centennial Landing website so families always have one current source.

Cabin-mate requests

Families may make one cabin-mate request during registration. The other family must make the same request, and both Campers must be registered for the same age group and week. We will try to accommodate requests, but cannot guarantee placement.
