Centennial Outdoor center and Camp Centennial are located at the Rotary Lodge off St. George Boulevard. The programs offered give a chance for the youth of the area to experience outdoor education and the benefits of an active lifestyle, all done while having a whole lot of fun. This year’s Directors are John Savage and Nathan Goudreau.
We are so proud of the campers coming through our programs. We have seen firsthand the impact a week of summer camp can have on a child, and we hope that you agree that it’s a valuable experience. We know it’s early, but summer 2012 promises to be an exciting year for us at Camp Centennial.
Every program we provide is created to be a dynamic learning experience with fun at its core. With that in mind we are excited to offer programs for children aged 5 through 15. Each program focuses on different goals for the group. Our younger children focus largely on learning and getting to know each other as well as themselves. The older groups use our facilities to their fullest extent with rock climbing, repelling, canoeing, obstacles and TreeGo all being possibilities. The groups are as follows.
Munckins (5-6 yrs old)
Koalas (7-8 years old)
Aztecs (9-10 years old)
Trailblazers (11-12 years old)
Leadership (13+)
Music Camp (7-12)
Tennis Camp (10+)
Our programs for children aged 13-15 have been refitted to expand upon the capabilities and possibilities for this age group. We offer the Voyageur group for 3 weeks this summer that allow these young adults to experience adventure programs. Click here for more information.
Leadership Camp is a program we offer every second year. It is a two week experience that demands maturity, a little bit of zaniness and a desire to learn in a creative and dynamic way. Special quests, adventure trips, and the entire second week away creates an atmosphere contusive to the development of leadership, initiative, and responsibility for themselves as well the world around them.
